Wind was just seventeen years old when she was involved in a horrific car accident. The accident claimed the life of her boyfriend, Christopher F. Stewart and her close friend, Deanna Rivers. It left Bailey seriously injured and emotionally devastated. It also left her with the desire to write about her relationship with Chris, the love of her life and her best friend.
In addition to sharing their love story, Bailey writes about her life after the accident. During this journey, she has learned valuable lessons about loss, grief, forgiveness, bullying, unity, kindness, and the power of love. It is the power of love that has carried her through her darkest moments, and it is the power of love that continues to sustain her. She will forever carry Chris and Deanna close to her heart, and the lessons she learned from them will guide her throughout her life.
Bailey was assisted with the writing of this book by local freelance writer Chris Graf. Chris’s oldest daughter attended school with Chris and Deanna, and her family met the Wind family at a local restaurant on Christmas Eve 2012. The book evolved from that chance meeting. Although Bailey was assisted by Chris, the book is 100% Bailey’s. It is her story told the way she wanted it told. Bailey’s family financed the printing of the book as a tribute to Chris.
